What is a Salon?
In many languages the word SALON refers to a place of gathering, a living room, a place where you entertain, spark a discussion and increase the knowledge of participants through conversation.
That’s why we call this conference UX Salon
“We become what we behold. We shape our tools and then our tools shape us.” [Marshall McLuhan]
The 2015 conference logo
This year the conference is focused on bringing practical and inspirational tools for our day-to-day work. The logo represents the fundamental tools we use as designers, from the pencil to the digital pen to the whiteboard marker. Each tool represents a presentation in this conference.
Last year we were honored to host Jesse James Garrett on the red couch as our keynote speaker.
Design for Engagement
Whether you design websites or shopping malls, hospitals or mobile phones, you’re designing for people, and people want to be engaged by the products and services in their lives. In this presentation,
Jesse James Garrett looks at ways the designers of all kinds of products and services can maximize the human engagement of their work.
